Do you love eating the doughnuts in the food joints in your city? Would you like to take yourself a baking pan, and bake the delectable doughnuts within few minutes at home? You just need easy to get ingredients and basic equipment like OTG/ microwave to bake this delicacy.
Aroma, taste and ease will make sure that you will try baking it on regular basis, so here we go.
Tea spoon is denoted as Tsp in the article.
Mix Wet and dry ingredients separately
Dry ingredients – mix it in one bowl
Flour – 3 cups
Sugar – 3/4 a cup
Baking powder – 1 and 1/2 Tsp
Baking soda – 1/4 Tsp
Nutmeg – 1 Tsp
Salt – 3/4 Tsp
Wet ingredients – whisk in a separate bowl
Milk – 1/2 cup
Sour cream – 1/2 cup
Eggs – 2 No’s
Melted Butter – 1/4 a cup
Canola oil – 1/4 a cup
Vanilla extract – 2 Tsp
Mix Everything Together
Combine the wet and dry ingredients together in the bowl and stir it till they are mixed. Let the mixture have some lumps left, if stirred too much and ingredients are over mixed it will make tough doughnuts. It’s fine to have bits and lumps of flour left.
Make your Doughnut Pan ready
Lightly grease the pan with butter.
Make you Piping Bag ready
Fill the batter prepared into a piping bag, make sure to use a slightly large round tip.
Fill the Pan
Batter has to be uniformly spread in the pan well using the piping bag.
Bake the doughnuts
Put the pan in OTG/ microwave, bake it until the batter have risen and are color becomes light brown on the edges (around 12-15 mins). Keep them in the pan for few minutes (3-5 mins) and then move them on the rack to cool. In the same manner, you can repeat it for more doughnuts.
Glaze
Whisk the following well:
Powdered sugar – 4 cups
Milk – 1/2 cup
Vanilla extract – 2 Tsp
Dip the top of doughnut in a bowl of glaze prepared when they are cooled slightly. Once done put them back on the cooling rack. They should be cooled off till glaze is toughened. You can dip it 2-3 times if want an extra thick coating of glaze.
More Decoration
You can add colorful sprinkles while the glaze is wet (only after the last dip).
