What’s a birthday without cake? And, that too kids’ birthday parties are all the more special, ain’t it? Children start counting the days to their birthday from months ahead. With them so excited for their special day, what better way to make it all the more memorable than with cake?

In our opinion, fall aka autumn is the most charming of all seasons. The hot sultry days of summer are over, the air is cooler, there’s a pep in everyone’s step. Not too cold like winter or too hot like summer, fall is the Goldilocks of seasons.

Your child’s birthday is fast approaching, and you want to make the day most memorable for your little one. You wish to pull out all stops to bring a huge smile on your child’s face. You’ve figured out the theme, sorted out the party décor, kids meals, return gifts, etc., but you are scared to handle the main event of the day – baking and decorating your child’s birthday cake.

Let’s show a little love for the summer babies. Having a summer birthday is a gift; you don’t have to worry about test papers, exams or anything else. Most of your friends would be at home in the holidays. You can have a great party at the poolside or in a park, or at home.

Summer is a great time to celebrate a birthday. You have a good chance of enjoying the sunshine, warm weather and can host an epic birthday party for your loved one. Usually, we buy a cake for our dear one’s birthday or any special occasion. We wait eagerly for the day of the occasion, visit a bakery near us and choose the cake from the display. Add a message and surprise them Ta-da!!

You get your cake but wait it’s not simple as it sounds. You have to search for a baker in the local market and to park your vehicle (hope there is a parking space). Apart from that, you have to be nimble enough to travel with your special cake in heavy dusty traffic and pray to all the Gods hoping that your cake reaches the venue in one piece!

Recently, we came across a news article that states that you should reconsider accepting the slice of cake served to you at birthday parties. As avid cake lovers, that was like a bolt out of the blue for us. After all, who in the whole world would reject a piece of yummy birthday cake, topped with delicious icing?

The news article stated the results of a study by a team of researchers from Clemson University, in South Carolina. According to the study, researchers found that blowing out birthday candles on a cake, increased the bacteria count on the cake by a whopping 1400%.
